I think it's cool you just need to expand the sides a little.

yeah, its a good profile pic, but portraits don't work for skins.

You can use it, lol. Do you want to use it as a skin?

it would be distorted then. I recommend adding in extra flame effect to the sides.
Perhaps also darjen the whole design to make it less in your face, or maybe even change the hue to go more of a deep purple or blue.

Cool pick, though I agree with Heliosvector. The image there looks incomplete and 'chopped-up'. Do you a fuller version?

Also, isn't there any love for the Caladbolg profile pic? :D
Sorry, just had to get my FF-nerd question in. Go with the Lion definitely.

Yea, but you need a better version/size, but think about it like this, if you can take your notebook with that skin to an airport (or some crowded place), and be proud of it, then get it.

If you want to use that image.. I suggest you copy and mirror it so it's two lions looking at one another.. it would make it wider and look much better for a skin.

Yeah... I agree with Dragoon. I don't know if I could bring that to someplace like an airport and not feel like a total nerd. But oh well, that might not matter haha. And Shyster, that looks pretty awesome.

if youre afraid of appearing like a total nerd in public, then you're not a total nerd =P if that's what you want to have on your notebook, then who cares what others may think? it's your machine, your money...make it look however you want. I do personally think it's a bit flashy, but my opinion should really have no weight in your decision...so i won't put it on my notebook..doesn't mean it doesn't belong on yours :)

Flashy? I dunno; I think with a little more tinkering around on the pic, it actually begins to look sort of noble and romanticized (in the literary/artistic tradition gents, not in the tawdry way).

    How's about this one?

Third one looks cool and not so showy Shyster, but I think the red in the fourth could be a bit toned down. A little too red, lol.

I might consider getting a sticker like that on the back of my notebook whenever I get a new one, but can those be removed if I can't stand it later? lol.. I hope so.

Well, as long as you've got a decent internet connection, you can do some not-too-bad photo-editing online. Other than the first image, which I whacked out with MS Paint, all the rest have been edited online for free using FotoFlexer.

Personally I like the first one Shyster did with the lions. When I caught it out of the corner of my eye I thought it was a mushroom cloud from a nuclear explosion. Pretty cool looking if you ask me.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right, it does have a bit of a resemblance - which is a nice sort of symbolic reference to the power of the lion as well.

Yea, I definitely like what you're doing with the image. (When I said flashy, I was mostly referring to the original image, not what you had done with it.) IMO, the best one is the brown/gray one you've got posted near the top of this page.
