Remember a while back I said that I sold my alienware aurora m7700 off ebay so I could go to Sager? Yeah, it turns out the computer was purchased on a stolen credit card. Paypal has my mom's paypal account (my money was in her account) locked right now while they investigate. ultimately, I'm not worried because we did our business legitametly, the computer was sent and recieved, and that's that. We can't be held accountable. They have to investigate the address the computer was sent to, or the credit card company will have to eat that charge. All in all, I'm safe..but **** that really sucks ass for the guy who got his card stolen. =/

Nope - sucks ass for the Credit Card company and hopefully the guy that stole the card. The guy that got the card stolen is out $50 (and the hassle of trying to fix his credit reports, etc., so yeah, sucks for him too).

That's terrible. Why can't people just be honest and make money in a legitimate way? I hope the authorities track this guy down.

Yeah, I hope this sucker will get caught and I hope you'll keep the money. It's about time credit card companies start thinking a little more about security. So no, it doesn't sucks ass for them as they are **** slow to put on better security measures on their cards.

Why they don't do it you'll ask? Pfff, even though they pay billions to recover and refund funds from frauds, it's still cheaper than putting some better security measures. So no it doesn't sucks for them. It sucks for the victim, right.

I don't know. My mother did the shipping. She's a worry wart, so I'm sure she'd only ship to confirmed addresses.

Right because you have to ship to a confirmed address so you are protected :). Here in canada they finally added shipping integration with Canada post about a couple months ago. What a charm to ship with this!!
