Hello
Im glad i found this place were people seem the have the same laptop as me. I bought mine from HID Evolution with 10700k and 3080. The RAM i have is Gskill 3200 but the cas latency is 22. HID said the Prema Bios has no ETA to release and there is basically nothing in the standard BIOS which is disappointing to say the least. Gskill does make a pair of sticks with ram 3200 with CL 16 but if i cant change to use the XMP profile in the BIOS it would be useless to buy them. Unless it automatically selects the right timings ? I play battlefield 5 and i do notice the game running little slugish vs my 9900k system with ram same speed but CL 16. Anyone have the same experiance ?

Is there anything in XTU?
-
Not that i can see. I know some motherboards like my Maximus XI have software to adfjust timings. I can only hope when Prema bios is released they have some type of xmp profile option. The stock clevo bios is limited. Thanks for the reply

Then you would need something set by SPD rather than XMP.

I think the problem im experiancing is high density ram. These are the sticks i have https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb...16820374023?IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo. They do not have any modules on the back of the ram. I seen alot of videos of this and looking for a solution with a pair of sticks that are low density. Can anyone help ?

Tested an older XTU version?

I just downloaded from there website

You only find the newest in there. Test out some from my XTU library http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...m-owners-lounge.831618/page-536#post-11110394

Would this be a temp fix until Prema releases the BIOS for the X170 KM-G line ? I definatly want to get some new sticks and the selection is slim because they all require xmp profile which we all know isnt in the clevo standard bios ?

DO you think either of these sticks will work

May not work but worth a shot. You can use 'ASRock Timing Configurator' to view/edit timings within Windows. If your BIOS default supports live timings it may work.

Does the X170 KM-G support xmp with stock clevo bios ?
X170 KM-G Better ram timings ?
