The new X4 from Eurocom is released now, and I was wondering if anyone here pre-ordered one, or has tested one, or has one, or is going to buy one. I would like to know its performance, its thoughts etc..

I do not think there is a review yet.
If no one gets one soon, I will have to buy it myself and test it etc.. but I do not think I want to keep it, just want to test some graphics cards on the Z170 Motherboard.

Ideally, someone has done this already for me, and can tell me what drivers works best for the 900 Series and in which version of windows. Or lend me theirs to test it myself :p

If not I will be buying one, and maybe selling it off after !
(Maybe someone wants it after, or is interested in the same information as I am)

the Eurocom X4 is based on the Clevo P75xDM chassis, so if ure looking for user reviews / experiences, check the respective owner´s lounge :)

it seems like the first units have arrived in NBR user hands :)

I've pre-ordered one. It's the Clevo P750DM. I don't think they'll start shipping until Friday or next week though.

My only concern is the surface temps on the keyboard. I'm picky about that, and won't keep a laptop that has a keyboard that runs hot. I'm hoping someone will have a review up soon with that information so I can decide.

In fact, if you want to be the guinea pig, go ahead - I could always buy it off you afterwards if the keyboard temps are acceptable.

P751DM / P750DM started to ship from major Clevo partners a week ago, quite a few customers already have their laptops :)

Yes, saw that. Eurocom isn't shipping them for a few more days it seems.

You should try the 17" model, P771DM.
According to notebookcheck the keyboard runs cool and comfortable :)

Those reviews show the temp difference between the 750 & 770 models to be 3-5C when idle, 5-10C under load. Idle temps are about acceptable, but even the 17" model hits 45C under load on the keyboard. For comparison, the G751 I'm using is a full 10C cooler on the keyboard.

Ah! I thought the 750 got way hotter. The palm rest on the 770 is well in the blue though so heat should't be too intrusive.

But the G751 is king of it's class regarding that aspect. It's bigger and heavier too.

The temp differential is greater when under load, and the 770DM clearly benefits from a bigger chassis. I honestly didn't think the temperature difference would be that significant, since they use the exact same cooling system, motherboard, etc.

It's even more significant since their tests used the i5 with the 750DM and the i7 with the 770DM. In other words, the 17" model seems MUCH better at managing heat.

If those temps turn out to be accurate (if other reviews achieve the same results) then it looks like I'll be getting the 17" model.

One thing to keep in mind is those temps are stress-test temps, the worst case scenario. I'm more interested in gaming temps, as those are what I'll deal with on a day-to-day basis.

So the only really legit concerns are heat under your pal when gaming then, or from the keyboard.
I don't really trust the numbers in reviews done by websites, I prefer what users submit, you know for XTU or Firestrike etc..
I guess I will wait until there are others with it too, meantime I am assuming regular 84.04.22.00.EC vBios should be fine, which is the OC vBios we use from PREMA,
    until proven to use otherwise.

If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to correct me.
