Hello, I'm looking for more information on the X7200 as the noise produced, photos and review on the laptop since purchasing a new think
    phones.

What desktop configuration can be compared?

Is the X7200 will still be performing after the release M18X X8100 or even with Sandy?

    Thank you

The noise produced is minimal unless you are playing very stressful games or applications. It has the Intel X58 desktop type chipset so you can to a limited degree compare it to such desktop systems.

I'll let others answer your other question... :)

Last year i would say you can't compare laptops to desktops but this year with the release of the GTX 485M i can say yes ! with two of those cards and the 980x is compared to a single GTX 580 desktop easy ;)

i would say like 20% difference on performance with 2 470's you can still play any game at max settings but with 2 485's is just insane also keep in mind you will need two PSU's with the 485's due to the power consumption

The GTX 485M is the best option for a single card machine "

The GTX 460M and 470M are the best for dual card configurations "

nope, but it is recommended. The main reason for 2 PSU's is the CPU, which can hit 160W+ during heavy load, from what we've seen.

485m sli and 980x scores about 22k pgpu score in vantage, similar to a yet annoanounced 560 desktop card. 580 desktop is still ahead with about a 28k score.

Who said 485m sli is similar to 580 is mistaken.
