Hey guys, I've been rummaging around the forums looking for an answer to this question and the only solution that I have found so far that might be able to do the job is the Slappa Mask. Really cool, but I want to make sure it is the best option. So here is what I am looking for:
A bag (prefer backpack so I don't get hospitalized for a crushed shoulder) that has the capacity for an X7200 PLUS TWO of the giant AC adapter bricks... Just kidding... giant AC adapter bricks required for my 990X + dual 580Ms. Holding my G930s, Razer Scarab mat in its case and Naga would also be a plus, though I could do with just the mouse I suppose.
NO ROLLERS. I'm too much of a man for that (not up for debate). Guess I am just tired of carrying around a backpack PLUS a briefcase for my laptop
.

God damn, it seems so pointless having an x7200, no offense. I mean carrying around that huge beast and 2 huge power bricks isn't exactly portable. Not that the p170 is much more portable. Just seems like if you are gonna get an x7200 you might as well get a desktop.
-
Ha, none taken, I was GOING to get a desktop... but carrying around a screen + keyboard is still (slightly) more cumbersome.

Howdy mate, there was a topic on this a few weeks ago that you might find interesting (linked directly to my post on the matter): http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/616427-p170hm-backpack.html#post7988105
In short, if that post is too long: I'd suggest the Targus XL as the thing holds everything, and more (plus four). Good luck mate! -

+1 on the Targus XL. Lots of compartments.

The one in the link below has been good for some...and myself

2 other options are the Astro Scout and the Alienware Orion M18x. I have the 17" version of the Orion and it's still going strong.
-
Comedy option of the Thermaltake TT eSports Battle Dragon LAN Bag. You might also be able to fit a 24" LCD in there while you're at it
Tt eSPORTS
I have not tried it myself, but will be getting one soon for testing purposes, hopefully. -
I can verify that you have enough room for all of that in a Slappa Mask or Koa. I have a Koa for my x7200.
I travel a lot for work and the only gotcha I have found with the Koa is that on the smaller regional jets you have to push the top of the backpack (as it is lying flat) down to fit it in an overhead bin. With 2 power bricks plus the other non flexible stuff you mentioned it might be difficult.

Yes if your budget allows the Slappa ones are great!

Original post updated with list of gigantic bags.

Backpacks and Book Bags | Huge Selection for School, Hiking & More - eBags.com
has a nice configurator to see if your particular laptop will fit.
I have a slappa mask transit, love it. Built like a tank, fits my 8170 a ton of blueprints and room for enough clothes for a weekend trip. Like one other person said, if its loaded full it's difficult to fit in an overhead compartment of a small plane. It does fit under the seat in front of you though.
It has a very well padded laptop compartment, with 1/2" foam on all sides including the bottom where the side of the laptop would sit on the ground when you set the backpack down. -

I purchased the Mobile Edge backpack in the link below for my x7200. I only have one power brick but there is enough room in the bag for a second one for sure. It has plenty of cushion so while it might be heavy, it doesn't hurt to carry around at all. At $64, the price was right compared to other backpacks of the same relative size.

Definitely a good choice as well.

Ill take a look at that configurator, aero, thanks! Added ikethegreat's suggestion to original post.
Oh and check out my shiny new signature. Is it blasphemous to center it? I like symmetry. Wish it would update for all of my posts...
EDIT: Checked out the configurator, added results to original post!
