Hi, since I updated the amd drivers for the crossfire 5870's on my Clevo X8100, the hotkey and lightshow applications have stopped working.
Every time I restart the computer it just says : Hotkey has stopped working.

I uninstalled the hotkey application and restarted, just as expected: lightshow and the touch-buttons don't work. However if I put the laptop the sleep mode and then back on again the lightshow button works ! How is this possible and what can I do to restore full functionality to my laptop, thx.

I'd uninstall the apps, then reinstall your video and audio drivers (I found a lack of audio drivers caused me issues), then reinstall the hotkey drivers.

Try to download the drivers directly from Clevo if you didnt get the new ones there. Sometimes getting drivers from AMD directly dont work 100%. Best rule of thumb is stick with drivers from Clevo as they have been tested to work with your specific notebook.

Tried that also, same results, getting bsod now too

In fact I'm getting too much BSOD's always with a different reason though it is always driver-related, some drivers are giving me these BSOD's and I can't figure out which ones...

Yeah I'm having the hotkey issue as well.

BTW, make sure that you unplug your adapter and restart the computer on the battery...then the lights will come back on when you reinstall the driver.

But my issue is this is the second time I've had to do it.
