I recently received my 9380-S (With the 4900MQ processor) and it seems that it may be running hot. I wanted to check here before I did anything about it since I may be wrong.

The CPU is idling at around 50c at normal fan speeds (I've seen others who were in the upper 30's) and is maxing at 94c or so. I have uploaded a picture of realtemp results, but I have also used CPUID Hardware Monitor also with the same results. Are these temps anything to worry about or should I check into calling XoticPC to look into it?

    Thanks.

94C is a bit high for the CPU, what were you doing when you got that temp? Was it just regular gaming or were you doing any burn in software like Prime95?

Yes depends on the task, for something like prime or very stressful task that's not too bad.

For gaming it hit 92? once, for Prime95 which RealTemp used for a Sensor Test it hit that 94. What I'll do for now is just run the fan on full and see if the temps settle a bit, otherwise I'll figure out how to get to the CPU/Heatsink and repaste it. (I've repasted plenty of times for my desktop system, but never for a laptop, so I was a bit leery on that since I'd have to find out where the cpu is and open up the laptop correctly to get to it.)

The CPU is under the main panel on the bottom and is pretty easy to get to.

If you're comfortable doing it for a desktop then you should be fine with Sager computers. They are very friendly to work on.
