When I switch to fullscreen in any video the area around the video goes from dark, deep black, to gray, like with bad light bleed. the screen only does it in full screen mode for videos. Also, the videos seem a bit blurry, or fuzzy compared to the same video on my Inspiron 9300

I am guessing this has to do with the Codec pack I downloaded. Does anyone have any idea, or suggestions for codecs, or somehow to fix this?

    Thanks.

I recommend K-Lite Codec Pack, and use Media Player Classic.

yes, those should work fine in Vista x64.

    get them at:
    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

    and since you're there, get
    - Real Alternative
    - Quicktime Alternative

These are codecs that will allow you to play the Real and Quicktime media on ANY media player of your choice... without having to install and use the lame proprietary programs.

or VLC Media Player, that thing will pretty much play anything or just stick with MPC which I use as a standard.

yeah thats what I always use on xp. I have vlc, but videos look a bit more fuzzy on vlc sometimes. So MPC is my favorite. Fixed my Issue btw.
