Thought I would post up on my new laptop, it has been about 5 or 6 years since I actually upgraded to something "modern". Anyway like the title shows it is a Xidax XMT-7 which from what I have been able to find is just a rebrand Eurocom M6 or Clevo P955ER. Bios is locked down pretty tight on this laptop and the processor can certainly heat up if left sitting on a flat surface in use, I elevate it on a laptop cooler. Overall the honeymoon phase is still in full swing so I am pretty impressed with it so far. Regarding buying from Xidax, would rate it as a very "meh" experience and definitely overpaid but live and learn so they say.
Specs for my laptop are 500gb 5200 rpm hdd, 8gb ddr4 ram, I7 8750h, 1070 MaxQ with 15.6 1080 120hz display.

Figured I would share some of my impressions with this laptop since Xidax has a hard to navigate website and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there regarding info on these. I'll start with it is much slimmer than I'm used to in a laptop, but very sturdy feeling with its metal chassis. I have a pretty barebones version since Xidax charged a large price premium. What I mostly cared about was getting a 1070, only after I ordered did I find out MaxQ meant nerfed performance, oh well. Even with the nerf hit compared to a regular 1070 I'm still floored by the performance it gives compared to my downright ancient 5850m and 7970(desktop). The 7970 is still kicking strong but has started to show its age too much and I was sick of paying the desktop power bill, for reference the 1070 MaxQ gets about double the fps of the 7970 and is driving the benchmark at a high res, 1080 compared to my 720p desktop monitor.
My favorite thing about this laptop is it is very professional looking and a bland design. Being a little older now I don't appreciate all the LED and design flares as much anymore. Least favorite has to be the CPU temps, I'm having to undervolt it and elevate it on a cooling pad to keep temps a toasty 90c, otherwise it will thermal throttle at 99c.
TLDR, got a new laptop and feel free to pick my brain on it, I don't really run benchmarks as I don't have the free time to pursue a synthetic high score, I look at FPS in game is about all and care more about how it plays the games I want it too. -

Some helpful information for you:
To avoid any confusion, your laptop is based on the Clevo P955ER chassis (it's not a Sager P955ER) - I say this to ensure that any experience or feedback you have regarding the laptop from Xidax doesn't negatively affect Sager.

There's a wealth of information on your laptop here (950 vs 955 is a cosmetic difference):
