So I was on @Prema's site today and noticed Xotic was listed as a partner now. So since I bought my P775DM3 from them before realizing Prema no longer publicly listed his BIOS files for download I was more than disappointed. But since I saw they were a partner now I messaged their support asking if I could send my unit in and pay a fee or something to get it flashed. The response is that they wont. Only their "Xotic branded prowler series" is eligible for the BIOS upgrade. Is there a reason for this other than just because?

I'm kinda at the point of putting Xotic on my personal blacklist based on a few factors other than this when I initially bought my unit. I've pretty much decided to look at other re sellers first the next time I buy a Clevo (Which may be soon. Thinking I might sell this unit and go dual gpu)

Simply because Sager will not allow a custom/modded BIOS om their system so they cannot flash it for you even if they wanted to help. Hence, you must purchase a Prowler which is a rebranded Clevo which can have the Prema BIOS

Things are not as simple with Sager as it is with a barebones Clevo

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
    Don't blame the messenger

I agree that sucks, and I would prefer a full prema partner myself. However, talk to thier support, they may have a BIOS/EC that can help and make the system more Prema-like. My current setup from HID (I am using an EC update to reduce throttling from HID) is totally usable and I would be happy with it indefinitely if I had to. See if Xotic can help you get there.

That said, I do get the Prema magic this Friday :)

@droidmahn, have you tried to reach out to Prema to see if you could work something out?

    Hi!

This is just the first step in our PREMA partnership and we are looking towards possibly increasing our line-up of offered Clevo models. I know it might not help with models previously ordered, but we are trying to offer more alternatives and customization options for the future. The reason we offer the alternate line of computers in the first place is because we want to offer this sort of upgrade.

Currently PREMA BIOS services are only available for XPC-exclusive units such as the XOTIC RAIDER or other Clevo-based barebones units.

There are currently policies in-place with Sager which prevent us from applying PREMA mods to standard Sager/Clevo units, in addition to these modifications potentially voiding the warranty of standard models.

It is due to these reasons that we do not offer PREMA on non-XOTIC Sager/Clevo units. I do apologize if this is frustrating to you, however I would imagine you would be even more frustrated if it turned out these services would void your Sager warranty, and we really don't want that to happen.
