I just received a call from Justin at XoticPC and he told me they were able to get cards for my machine to send to me.....

My machine will be shipping out on Friday.... So I should be getting my new
machine next week..........

All I can is this company really cares about its customers...

Alienware can not match Xotic's personal service by any means....

Dam, you're lucky. Because I got a custom paint job on mine it's still not ready for shipping until I verify the mock-up they send me, which I haven't received yet but I can wait patiently. Grats on your rig though!

 

Man I didn't get a free backpack!!!!!

I just bought a nice laptop backback from REI. Then I had to modify the internal pocket to fit this beast of a laptop (actually my wife helped since I'm not so good with a needle and thread).

I just hauled this thing down to Atlanta on a business trip. I expected problems at the airport but didn't receive any.

This laptop needs a handle. It's very hard to pull out of a bag/case/backpack/whatever with one hand. And mine's a little lighter than usual at the moment because my battery is on a UPS truck back to Sager. It stopped working after a complete discharge over the weekend. Crazy.

You really miss the battery that's for sure.

BTW, I played Oblivion on the battery for over an hour. I was pretty amazed.

Received mine today.... The machine runs crazy cool compared to my old D900K... It really puts the other machine to shame...

The one thing I did notice in in Memory operations per second in the windows Experience Index it shows 5.5..

I thought with 800mhz memory it would be higher???

Kozi said his was at 5.7...

Try running it again. Better yet grab another program that actually test the memory. WEI is just an estimate in performance.

 

Ran it multiple times.. Doesn't change...

Ok do you have any programs running? Maybe a virus scan or something could lower the score some. I just ran mine and I am getting 5.5 but I know I am running at 667 not at 800 right now. I should have that fixed around the end of the month. One of my sticks was bad and had it cross shipped but I left the country before it could arrive and all I could find was the lower speed.

Still I would use another program to test the memory. WEI really isn't that good of a test. I will look around I can't remember off the top of my head what I used in the past sandra sysoft or something like that had a good benchmark set and memory comparision with it. I would start with it and look around some more.

 

I would not take WEI too seriously.

I would do PCMark05, 3dMark06, wPrime... these will test all of your components more throughly.
