Aside from these two are there other options for 15 inches gaming models?
Which one is the best, has the best prices, best build quality and support?

LPC-Digital, HIDEvolution, GentechPC, ReflexNotebook, Prostar, AvaDirect, Mythlogic, Origin, Malibal, iBuyPower, Sager, and I'm probably missing some...
Build quality is the same, they are selling the same products (i.e. MSI, Clevo/Sager, Aorus etc...)
Support is debatable.
HIDEvolution and LPC-Digital have very impressive track records around here.
But most of them are decent. XoticPC is pretty good, I've used them before, and all of them are at least reputable sellers.tyrannosaurus_rex likes this. -

Well the 15'' in gaming are pretty much limited to the 1060 and 1070 and I would guess if a seller sells one they also sell the other.

They use the same models but they're the ones who end up putting all these components together. Some might not do it very well so I'm asking to know if there's any I should favor over others.

I can speak from experience that Eurocom has quite possibly the worst support out of any company I've ever dealt with.
Good builds though.TomJGX and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

I have previously ordered Clevo notebooks from both XoticPC (W230ST and P650SG) and Prostar (P650RE) through to final delivery. I have placed orders that were eventually canceled due to time constraints, stock availability or, just wanting a different model with both XoticPC (Aorus X7 Pro and P640RE) and Mythlogic (P640RE). I feel that since all resellers and system builders are essentially offering the same product, a Clevo, the main differentiating factor comes down to the price and after-sales service. That is, I advocate for the prospective buyer (that's you!) buying the seller rather than the product. For me, another important factor is the availability of a modded BIOS.
I have completed two orders with HIDevolution and will continue to do business with them. They have some standup people working there and are more than happy to resolve any post-sale tech support issue you may have in a timely manner. They respond quickly to all inquiries, not just when they want money. They are also a Prema partner. I have documented my experiences in the reviews subforum.
I recently ordered a screen and a cable from Eurocom and they have been very slow in communication. They are fast when they want money, though! I may do a full writeup in the reviews subforum when complete.Last edited: Jan 12, 2017TomJGX and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

well being nearby and in the same country is a huge plus for me with Eurocom. And with 10% off, low shipping cost and no import taxes they're noticeably cheaper than anyone else. But I keep hearing mixed reports on them.
I checked Hidevolution but is it me or are they noticeably more expansive? It appears they overlock the CPUs from the start which isn't necessarily something I'm interested in. -

Price is not only thing you should consider, think of the warranty, customer service, speed of delivery. etc.
Firstly, like Eurocom, HIDevolution is a Prema Partner meaning you will get the Prema BIOS/VBIOS for your laptop whereas buying it from a non-Prema Partner, you are stock with the stock BIOS. As far as I am aware, when I ordered my previous Eurocom sky X9, I had to pay an additional $200 USD for the Prema BIOS but with HIDevolution it's FREE!
Secondly, HIDevolution doesn't offer factory overclocked CPUs unless you ask for it. But what they do offer which very few other resellers offer is CPU delidding, where they would remove the CPU lid and put in some Liquid Ultra then re-seal the lid, that would bring down the temps by 10C for the CPU. They also have the fastest RAM options, and all the latest SSDs

your review just opened a whole new can of confusion for me. Starting with the
There's another thing that leaves me a bit... is this BIOS and cooling enhancement, or undervolting... Why wouldn't the base manufacturers do those things in production instead of selling laptops that would underperform? It's not like it would really increase costs especially installing an improved BIOS or making their hardware suck less juice. -

The Prema BIOS/EC Firmware fixes that. that's why I mentioned what I did in my review. you don't wanna pay for an enthusiast grade laptop that doesn't perform as advertised.
Why don't those other resellers undervolt out of the box to prevent recurring issues that are constantly reported here about over heating and is usually a super easy fix done in less than 60 seconds? that my friend you have to ask them
-150mV is totally safe as an undervolt for stock clocks
-80mV is totally safe for a 4.4 GHz overclock
-40mV totally safe for a 4.5GHz overclock provided you got one of the good CPUs and if delidded, it would cope better with the heat
-20mV for a 4.6 GHz overclock
These are settings I've tested and run 24/7 with no crashes and no over heating but each CPU is different offcourse so one has to expiriment with what works best with his/her CPUi_pk_pjers_i and tyrannosaurus_rex like this. -

I have no time to waste testing, I'm sure you don't either
be smart, be like Phoenix
do it once, do it right. as they say, you gotta pay to play. get a laptop with a Prema BIOS and be done with it.
PS: the Prema BIOS for that model is not ready yet it's under development, the Prema BIOS for the P870DM3 was just finalized a couple of days agoi_pk_pjers_i likes this. -

I will consider that. But HIDEvolution is definitively expansive outside the US (and since they force you to pick the higher grade GPU from the start), is there another seller that offers Prema Bios?

Avoid Mythlogic like the plague
One of the best resellers with the best customer service and attractive pricing is LPC-Digital. I hope @Larry@LPC-Digital can chime in if they can offer the Prema BIOS, they would be my next best recommendation after HIDevolution
see:
Superb customer service from LPC Digital!
finally, don't forget, you can get a small discount from HIDevolution if you email [email protected]
better yet, give them a call and speak to him, see what he can offer you before making a decisioni_pk_pjers_i and tyrannosaurus_rex like this. -
