I'm not sure if this is appropriate here, but since they're a Sager reseller...

Has anyone else seen XoticPC's new website? It's nice :) I used to be complimented on how my website looked compared to other resellers when I ran Dark Smiley, but now I think they've taken the top spot - and would have even if I was still in business.

    LOL.

They must have updated it within the last day or so.... I usually keep an eye out on them. :)

    Looking very streamline... gamer style.

    Hmmm...

what is more interesting is that the Clevo D901C (Sager 9262) only has one videocard option now... Quadro 3700M

I was expecting this since Nvidia is phasing out their Geforce 9M series.

Hopefully Clevo is testing the GTX 200M series on it now.

I wish I knew to tell you - I'm out of that loop now :(

And does it seem like the site is loading a bit slow to you? They're probably just getting rid of the bugs, hopefully it'll be smooth in a few hours.

Oh, and I'm surprised they haven't gotten rid of the desktop section!

Looks decent, definitely classier than the previous.

I wonder if PNB's getting an update too.

I was suprised too until I read this from Justin on their forums...

As for the new site, I am a big fan of the look and the way it is cross referenced is very nice.

I noticed they raised their base price on the 9262 by $300, but then so did PC Torque, and Powernotebooks doesn't even sell them any more. Maybe some new models will be out this Monday. ;)

I liked the old Xotic site as well, it was much more appealing to me than other reseller sites even though I knew next to nothing about Xotic when I first started looking for a new system a couple years ago. The new one seems to be a little buggy, but still a nice look.

Thanks for the kind word everybody. :) As I have told a couple others asking about it, it has been a work in progress since last November and glad it finally launched. (Don't have much hair left now, lol ;))

No, it was designed and implemented by a 3rd party. Had allot of revisions and coding issues to work through.

Xotic's website is the reason I won't be buying from them, since the pages don't fit my browser (Firefox 3.07) or screen resolution (1024x768) without horizontal scrolling. Also, portions of the left side of the page are chopped off regardless of scrolling. When I emailed to point this out, they replied with several lame excuses. First they claimed their site was only 990 pixels wide so I must be confused; when I sent them a screen shot, they then admitted that, yes, some pages were a teeny bit wider, but failed to address the chopped off portions. It may seem a minor complaint, but the way they handled it tells me two things: 1. they'd rather make excuses than find solutions, and 2. they don't want my business.

Sadly, Powernotebooks is also indifferent in this regard. Yes, my current system is ancient, which is why I want to buy a new one. I really can't understand the mentality of retailers who intentionally make it difficult for customers to make a purchase--especially in this economy. It's like shopping in a B&M with five-foot high ceilings.
