What do they mean with "$50 OFF Ram Downgrade Option"... if you downgrade to the 8GB - DDR3 1333MHz (from 8GB 1600) you already get 50 bucks back.

Or is it a 50 dollar off any type of RAM?

That is the discount, if you jump down to 1333. The rest of the RAM upgrades cost more money. To be honest, it is a very minuscule difference in speed between the two. It is a good way to save 50 bucks!

I had to ask about it too, but yeah, it's the option to get the 1333mhz ram for $50 less than the default 1600mhz.

Is this discount different from the "$50 off orders of $1500 or more?" discount?

No separate discount. When selecting RAM you can see the option to select 1333 RAM (-50). Pretty good one in my opinion as there is really not much perceivable difference in the speed.
