My payment JUST cleared and went to phase 2, and now I see that they're offering a 500gb 7200rpm hard drive. I got the 320 but now I want the 500!
    Darn.

Why don't you call them and ask them to change it?

There is a positive side: Even though your 320 gig is smaller, if it's a Seagate 7200.3, it's still faster than the 500 gig.

Yesss It is available for all products... so technically someone could order a Sager 9280 with 1.5 Terabytes lol

The Tom's Hardware tests strongly disagree with you.

Oops, no arguing with Tom's. Looks like there's been a firmware update since I last read a review. Early results did show the 7200.4 as being slower.

Yeah at launch there was an issue, but it seems to have been resolved.

I have my eye on that 250GB 7200.4 right now. That's a nice drive that can be found for less than $70.

I had the same problem. They did allow me to cancel my order after they broke their delivery promise though. I ordered straight from Sager, with no hassle. Delivered ontime.

All Sager resellers have the 500GB 7,200 RPM drives since it is Sager that builds Sager laptops.

Also, since Sager is the OEM, any delays in shipping will be caused by Sager not having the shells or components...it is never caused by the reseller. All orders placed, whether through a reseller or through Sager directly, get a Sager sales order number. When your number comes up in turn your laptop is built and shipped directly from Sager. Therefore if you order from a reseller, then cancel and order directly from Sager, all you are doing is getting out of line and walking to the back of the line. In addition, you lose any extra perks given by the reseller like Lifetime 24/7 DOMESTIC Support, cash discount, No OS option, and having an advocate on your side should you ever need it with Sager.

I wonder if the 500GB will cause more or less of a heat issue than the 250 and 320s?

I'm kinda tired of XoticPC being treated as the de facto Clevo reseller. No disrespect to the guys there intended.
