Many resellers will price match. You just have to contact them privately, and also ask the right questions. I doubt any, if at all, will announce publicly on the forums that they will price match. I know I wouldn't if I was a reseller.

Also, you will probably need some kind of quote, or have to provide a reseller your exact config before attempting to request a price match. It is only fair to reseller imo.

They should. Depends on the circumstances.

They will if it's off the xotic pc website. At least they did for me, an several other so believe.. If an xotic rep gives a quote for 500 off their list price, it might be a different story lol..

    ^^ This.

Definitely don't go into it expecting to get a price match. More often than not, one will end up being disappointed, and having the seeming impression of a bad experience (that was likely set up by oneself). ;)

Edit: IMO, if you asked about a price match on the forums, I wouldn't reveal your forum username when talking to the resellers. Just sayin' :p

I'll just put input my experience when I purchased from XoticPc.
*This is in noway an advertisement for them nor was I paid to write this, this is all purely my opinion based on the experience I had with XoticPc.*

Xoticpc to start off was indeed the best choice for me simply because well? They are spot on with their customer service. When I first learned about sager notebooks I did a bit of research here and there and went to xotic, and with their live chat I had all my answers in a timely manner with detail. Eventually I had configured my notebook, set it up and purchased it and in a matter of minutes I had emails and notifications on what was occuring with my notebook. They updated me in which position it was (whether it was building or shipping, etc) and even called me to confirm that the order was what I had wanted. Top notch in my books.

Their agents were respectful, and had knowledge of their products unlike most companies who do off-shore. In turn this was the tipping edge, because I KNEW that if I had ANY problems with the product with this sort of support and customer care that I would have no hard time fixing it or getting whatever needed to be done. And of course this story seems very generic but really it was what I went through and really I dont understand why companies like xotic aren't recognized in top customer care, and to be truthful they are atleast 3x better then apples representatives who apparently are recognized As the number 1.

Anyhow In the end to sum it up I knew they stood behind their products and that if anything occurred the problems would be solved in a timely manner and that their agents wouldn't give me a hard time. These are the reasons why I chose xotic and will continue to do so.

What brand of memory does XoticPC use in their notebooks? I see Mythlogic uses Kingston memory.

I don't know what memory Xotic uses but you forgot that Mythlogic also uses Crucial memory.

From my latest experience they don't. They won't even match the website price (this for a 8150-S1).

Well from the issues people are seeing, at least it feels like less people have problems with their Mythlogic machines than the other resellers... No freezes, dead pixels etc etc... They only charge a slight premium but if you look at the complaints threads I think they are doing well in that department.

You see the Sager Branded name more as they easily surpass 9 to 1 ratio of systems shipped compared to re-branders. There are significantly more Sager Branded systems shipped & out in the field compared to the re-branders.

Last I heard, it was Hynix.

I ordered mine without RAM ($40 credit for 2x2GB) and ordered a set of 2x4GB GSkill RAM just to be safe.
