So... Ordered my laptop yesterday from XoticPC. The specs are listed below. Looks to be a pretty promising laptop. Really excited to receive it! I am actually so excited I am checking my email like 5 times an hour to see when it ships. I don't even know what to do while I wait! This next week or two is going to be miserable!

Looks great! close to what I plan on getting.

 

Unless you plan on doing it yourself, I'd suggest upgrading the thermal compound for better cooling, it makes a significant difference.

 

a reseller recommending something that puts more money into the pockets of a different reseller? Wow. I have definitely been impressed since I started coming to this forum to see the way all of the resellers on here are always more than willing to give advice and help out when they can even if you didn't or aren't planning on purchasing from them. I can't count the number of times I have seen Malibal answering questions from a XoticPC customer or Mythlogic answering a question from a Sager customer or XoticPC helping a Malibal customer, etc. Try asking a HP rep a question about a Dell computer and see where it gets you. lol. This Sager / Clevo community definitely impresses me with the help and support that's offered on here by everybody no matter what reseller you actually got the laptop from.

Back on topic, ya, upgrading the thermal paste would be a good idea.

Yeah I agree the customer support is incredible for all sager resellers . What I'm wondering though is if any would let you order a sager without certain components that you didnt need but are required through the online order system..? This is what I'm looking to do pretty soon.

When you work in volume like Dell and HP do good customer service is very hard to come by.

nope he is not wrong! they will be releasing mid range cards, high end cards should arrive Q2

 

That's too bad. Like I said though, a HD 6990m should suffice. That or the GTX 580m if there is a price drop for sager resellers soon. I just want to be able to play Guild Wars 2 maxed on this thing. That game looks really dang good.

 

So to keep everyone up to date on my experience, XoticPC.com has been fantastic. I however, have been an incredible pain!

About the NBR discount. I was contacted by XoticPC extremely fast and they gave me the information needed to get the discount which they offered to apply even after I placed my order already. Very nice people. Just sent an email back to them after getting the suggestion that I should add the thermal compound upgrade, thank you Malibal hoping it's not too late to do that.

Like I said I've been a bit of a pain in the butt going back in forth with emails with them after I made my order, but they are helping me out big time!

I'm freaking losing my mind waiting for this thing though and its only been like a day! haha so excited!
