I really like the number 31 of previous custom jobs on the XoticPC site. It is an American flag superimposed on an Eagle. Beautiful.

My question is whether this is paint or a vinyl cover? I am allergic to vinyl {and all rubber} which would negate any thoughts of getting this {or any other vinyl skin}.

    Thank You

According to the website, they offer both skins and paint jobs.

Edit: Looks like you can get just about any picture you want with a paint job.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but since you have a very specific concern due to your allergy you should check out the customizations on my page.

There is no exposed vinyl or rubber because anything printed on that type of surface is easily damaged. I guess the other good thing is that if someone has an allergy to those things they have an alternative to still customize their system for a reasonable dollar.

Don't know if skins are available with different types of substrate materials; however, any design that's on vinyl can, I believe, be replicated with a custom paint job (albeit for a higher price).

Plus Shyster, the reason I stay away from paint and the enormous cost is then you get a scratch on it and you feel bad, soon the thing is covered with scratches and you're like, "This looks like dookie." :(

Wouldn't disagree with you in the least; that's why I prefer nothing but the bare plastic.
