I need a new laptop and have been looking at the Sager NP8651/Clevo P650SE. I'm buying it in the US but can't decide between XoticPC and LPC Digital. Both have the same price at $1,300ish (if I choose remove Sager branding XoticPC actually adds 1 cent tho, j/k). I heard that both have excellent service except in my experience, XoticPC seems to have slower communication which is quite important since in case of system failure and I need to contact them, it'd take longer than LPC Digital. I don't know if the risk of getting a lemon is that high so communication might or might not be a problem.

That said, LPC Digital actually offers cheaper price. However, XoticPC offers free Batman gamecode ~$60 and LPC Digital's additional discount is less than $60. I'm quite new to this kind of thing so I don't know how long the price will drop. I can wait for a few months if the price drops significantly and if it's not XoticPC would be cheaper.

Well, I haven't purchased my laptop yet - but I got an answer from LPC immediately, while it's been almost a week and nothing back from Xotic.

I usually get response from XoticPC in 1 or 2 days and LPC Digital in 12 hours I think so XoticPC isn't that much slower. It's just I've read many reviews on this forum that people get response from XoticPC very slow so I guess it hasn't happened to me yet.

Just tried the website above. XoticPC does have some bad review but it's very few ~ 100/2000. LPC, on the other hand, has 100% 5 star; however, they only have 62 reviews. I guess LPC just isn't as popular.

I recommend you get it from HIDevolution their customer service is superb! I ordered an Alienware Area 51 2 weeks ago and they started gathering the parts and all, then I read how bad it is in terms of not being able to upgrade it since it has a proprietary motherboard and due to BIOS issues it cannot accept 3 VGA Titan X or 980 Ti in SLI only the older 980 GTX so I emailed them to cancel the ordered and they canceled it without charging me a penny for the hassle I caused them and refunded all my money. Their prices are much cheaper than XOTIC PC as well

HIDevolution's Clevo P650SE is actually more expensive. Same configuration and only with the additional free IC Diamond paste, their price is $1,419, compares to $1,302. Most of their upgrade option is more expensive than XoticPC or LPC Digital (ex: IPS screen, extended warranty, windows...). Maybe their price on other models is cheaper but apparently it's not this one; unless they have some kind of discount.

send their sales team an email and ask them to forward it to TED. Tell him the Matrix Leader says hi and advised me to contact you. I guarantee you they will match the price of even beat it. their customer service is superb and their honesty most of all. They returned every single penny of my Alienware Area 51 which I configured for $9500 USD and didn't charge me a penny even though I had them order an ASUS PG278Q Monitor just for me then I canceled out.

I went with LPC digital, and about a week after getting my NP 8268 the power brick shorted out. LPC organized a replacement quickly. Gave me the cell phone of my contact person. Good experience.

I personally recommend LPC-Digital though. Larry has always been straight forward and honest and does what he can to make customers happy. He also supports this website thoroughly and takes a hit on the products he provides me so that I can review it and post it here for you all. I think XoticPC moves more product, offers more than just Sager notebooks, and has a very nice website layout. They have competent staff and support here at NBR as well.

Just be kind and reasonable. Some customers expect miracles and for the reseller company to take a hit on something that is not their issue. Remember resellers are the middle men. They are basically your ambassador with Sager, and make a small profit off the products you buy and have little pull over discounts. Whatever discounts they DO offer usually squeezes their profit margins considerably.

very well said, HTWingNut. Better service is still more important to me. A little bit cheaper price is a nice bonus.

I'm in the same boat too. Trying to decide what computer to buy and who to buy it from. So far Larry at LPC-Digital has been great to communicate with. We've shared several emails over the past couple of weeks and he has been prompt, knowledgable, and forthright. All greatly appreciated. It's because of HTWingNut's review of the NP8652 that I am in touch with LPC and considering purchasing that computer (nice review HTWingNut!)

I also reached out to Mythlogic too. They were friendly and responsive, but unfortunately their lead-time most likely won't work for me as I'm in a unique scheduling situation. However, I have solicited opinions about Mythlogic and everyone I have talked to has been extremely happy with their product and service. Their pricing is a bit higher but when you look at the entire scope of their package it seems well worth it. I just wish I could turn back time a week or so.

All I can say is this forum has been extremely helpful and I appreciate the fact that it is available.

Good luck with whoever you chose.

I've reached out to XoticPC, LPC Digital, and HIDevolution so far. I would say HIDevolution has the best service I've ever seen. Their reply is extremely fast, freaking fast or maybe it's just my timing was superb. Asked TED and got answer for everything I need in just one night. However, there is one thing that bugs me though. I did some research on this forum and some people said they read that HIDevolution has bad reputation on this forum but I couldn't really find exactly where. On resellerrating website, there are some reviews saying HIDevolution has some issue with communication after purchase. From my experience, HIDevolution's service is absolutely the best there is so far but people say there's no smoke without fire so I'm still a bit skeptical.

LPC Digital is very good too, and exactly what I expected. XoticPC I'd call "so so" since their reply is usually within 24-48 hours. Maybe it's because they're more popular so they are busier. Still trying to figure out which reseller I'll buy from (just found out that HIDevolution is actually builder so their price may be a bit more expensive which is understandable).

We try to respond back within 24 hours as much as possible. If anybody ever has any questions, feel free to PM or email me directly, and I know Hutsady is always pretty quick to respond if you reach out to him as well. If you have been talking with one person, and they don't get back to you, let me know so I can follow up with them directly as well.

Yes, I've always received reply so no complaint about that. I mean XoticPC has a lot of reviews so it means you have to deal with more customers and a little bit late reply is totally understandable.

I was taking a look at Hidevolution, and I noticed their prices for component upgrades (like RAM, OS etc) are higher than Xoticpc or LPCdigital. Why is that so? Just curious here...

they are builder, not reseller so their price may be higher (Mythlogic's price is also higher). But if you ask them to match, they will.

Oh, so is that why they have higher component prices? And when you say they'll match is asked, does that mean I have to discuss such details with them personally? I've never ordered suck equipment online, so I'm new to this ._.

yeah, just go to their website and find their email, send them your configuration and a link to website of other reseller that you want them to match. Then they will send back you price and your configuration, also the link to purchase. Very quick response in my experience.
