I have a permanent yellow line down the right side of my screen. It literally appeared out of nowhere.

I heard something about it being a graphics card issue. I tried disabling it but that did not remove it.

I also tried removing ram, cold turning it on/off, putting ram back in. nothing.

I am using some NBM mobileforce tweaked drivers and I wonder if that matters at all.

So has anyone here with a sager had the same problem? If LCD replacement is the only way, has anyone ever done this with sager? What was the cost? and how did it go?

    My sager is the M57RU

M57RU is an easy system to work with, the screen is easily available and will set you back $100-$150 I believe. Others will be able to tell you which is the best screen to get.

The service manual is in my sig which will help you with disassembly.

Hi, I also had this problem I think and than my screen suddenly stopped working. I am not sure what the problem was exactly but I purchased a new inverter and cables which seemed to have no effect. The inverter made no difference to the screen lighting up plugged in or not. Where should I buy a new screen replacement? I have been using a external monitor I bought (which I love :p ) but i think its time to get rid of the ghetto half Laptop Look.

My screen was a LG LP171WE2

Where do you suggest I purchase a replacement?
