I was originally going to go with XoticPC to get a NP9261 model but in the end, with the promos and the good dealings with the sales person and the fact that it was just the right deal at the right time for me, I decided to go with PCMicroworks.

Heres the current setup as ordered:

    Model name: Black-Hawk XR5

    Parts:
    Intel® Core™2 Quad Q6700 (2.66GHz/1066MHz/8MB)
4096MB Ultra Speed DDR2 800MHz Extreme Performance Memory
    400GB @ 21,600RPM SATA300 Storage RAID 5 (3 x 200GB 7200RPM)
8X High Speed Dual Layer +/- DVD-RW Drive
SLI Dual nVIDIA Geforce GO 8800GTX 1GB DDR3 X-TREME GPU
17" HD WUXGA+ 1920x1200 Ultra Resolution GlassVision Wide Screen Cinema Display
8 Channel Advanced SRS WOW Surround Sound System
High Speed 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Networking Adapter
Internal High Speed V90k Dial Up Modem
Built In 802.11AGN 300mbps Ultra Speed Wireless Adapter
    Integrated Advanced Bluetooth Wireless Adapter
Advanced TV Tuner + Remote Control
    External USB Floppy Drive
Microsoft® Windows Vista Ultimate Edition 64 Bit **NEW**
    Aluminum Carrying Briefcase
3 Year Diamond PLUS Blanket Protection Advanced Coverage
    (includes the following)
    Dead Pixel Protection
    Initial Shipping
    Virus & Spyware Protection Package
Notebook Carrying Bag With All Laptops
Advanced Aluminum Alloy High Flow Notebook Cooler With All Laptops

I am just like a giddy school kid or something now. I think that is what I am addicted too...not the current tech, but the feeling of buying current tech LOL.

Either way, I will be sure to join the owners forum when it arrives.

Just wanted to toss out a shout out to everyone on the forums putting in their input about the NP9261 as well as all other models. It definetly helps a person on their ordering decisions.

That is exactly the same system I ordered. I am sure you will get yours before I do, so you will have to post all the details. I plan on living vicariously through you until mid-Feb.

I am so excited for you as well!!! This lappy should just zip. Overall, I am overly please thus far with PCMicroworks when dealing with them. I felt pretty comfortable when talking to them...otherwise I am like a dog watchin his back usually with sales people.

I will post what I can as soon as I get it!

Did they say that your's wouldn't ship until then?

Late December or early Jan. The issue is that the SLI Dual 8800's don't get shipped to them from Nvidia until mid to late Dec.

One question... are you sure that the Aluminum carrying case is part of the 3 Year Diamond PLUS Blanket Protection Advanced Coverage? I mean great that it is, but I thought it was just a regular carrying case.

Yea, that was my poor copy - pasting...the aluminum case is just part of another promotion they have for november. I'll edit it to show that it isn't part of the plus warranty package. Thanks for noticing, dont want to put out incorrect info. :)
