The release of the Z68 chipset would be on May 11, as we all know. Would we even see this chip on upcoming Clevos? Are there any news about it?

Z68 isn't a notebook chipset and there's no real reason to make a mobile version of it.
When Intel rolls out socket LGA2011 CPU to replace Nehalem, Clevo might then use the X78 chipset for the x7200 refresh. -

Oh ok. And this would be sometime around Q1 2012, right?
Also, I thought Sandy Bridge already replaced Nehalem? -
SB hasn't replaced the top end Nehalem yet....the i7-9xx are still Bloomfield/Westmere.

Ok. So no new Clevo 15- and 17- inchers anytime soon?

You're looking at Q4 2011 at the earliest for the refresh of the x7200 which might include Sandy Bridge E desktop cpus. Clevo just released the 8170 and 8150 which use Sandy Bridge mobile with a single gpu. The only thing that might get released in the summer is the new x8100 that we've heard nothing about. That being a Sandy Bridge mobile cpu with dual gpus at 18.4".

Oh ok, so no refresh for the mobile CPU-equipped notebooks right now. I really thought they will make a way to use the integrated video of the Sandy Bridge CPU's by using a Z68 chipset also. This is because Alienware has already done that.

Computex, May 30th, will be the time for Clevo to announce its x8100 refresh. If they do, then it will be a direct competitor to the m18x. The m17x r3 and the m18x both use hm67 and not z68.
