    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a sleeve for my M860TU. I've done quite a bit of research on the forums before posting and I think I've narrowed it down to either a Zeroshock III or a Sleevecase from SFbags (Waterfield Designs).

    What I'm looking for is:
    1. Protection
    2. Slim fit - the sleeve & notebook will be going into my backpack notebook pocket
    3. Good looks
    4. Durability

I know the M860TU is a bit awkward for most standard sleeves due to the tapering thickness and the fat back end.

My main question is: will it fit in the Zeroshock III? I think some people have ordered the 15.4" for their M860TU's but I haven't heard any feedback.

Otherwise, what other options do I have? Any good custom sleeve makers out their besides SFbags?

I have my 15 inch Zeroshock infront of me right now and I just measured the width. It can fit up to 38.4cm (15.118in) wide notebooks, and this was measured near the corners where the width is narrower. The M860TU is 36.3cm (14.291in) wide.

Yes, it can also fit the W860CU. The W860CU is 37.5cm (14.764in) wide.

I can also do a measurement of the 17 inch Zeroshock as well as I have both.

SFBags is a very good company. Their factory and headquarters are located here in San Francisco. They make very high quality notebook sleeves and are my second choice if I am unable to obtain a Zeroshock.

Thanks for the feedback Soviet Sunrise, but its not the width I'm worried about, its the depth.

The M860TU has a fat 2" back end...ok I'll measure it right now, yep...a fraction over 2" from my desk up to the top at the back. Will that still fit the Zeroshock? and do you have the 15" zeroshock in front of you or the 15.4"?

    Cheers

I did not include depth because Zeroshock's are very flexible. My M570TU was around two inches thick as well and it fit like a glove in my 17 inch Zeroshock. Other M860TU users that own Zeroshock's also have no problem with depth.

Sorry if I was not specific. I have the 15.4 inch and 17.1 inch Zeroshock sleeves infront of me.

    Great!

Wow I'm glad I've found someone who actually has the cases in front of them.

Maybe you can help me out just a bit more - since I'm trying to fit the sleeve into my backpack pocket, I need the actual sleeve to be quite thin so that it doesn't add bulkiness.

How thick is the zeroshock III sleeve? I know the waterfield sleeve is almost 1 cm thick (therefore adding almost 2cm to the total depth). What about the zeroshock?

When empty, the Zeroshock is ~2cm (0.787in) thick when measured with my calipers. I don't have my M570TU anymore, but I think the total thickness would be something around 7cm (2.756in) at the thickest point. But then again, the Zeroshock was made for superior protection.
