    Depends on what ur after? Gaming? Then I would go for the gtx680 or 7970M, depending on which one you can get the cheapest nowadays

    Bf4 is also VERY cpu intensive. To play on ultra with decent fps(with decent I mean 50+), you will need a better cpu than you have now.. If you are mostly interested in bf4, I would go for the 7970M. With the mantle update coming soon(in a month or so, nobody knows), you'll get better fps with 7970m than with 680m.

    I play bf4 all the time with a 7970M and 3820qm on high setting and I have minimum 65 fps without overclock and min 75 fps with overclock.

    But.. I can see that now the 680m is cheaper than 7970m(used to be much more expensive), so for overall gaming, I would go for 680M I think..

    So: bf4 preferred highest fps? => 7970M , other games? => 680M

    I'd go for a 675mx or 680. I have the 675mx 3630 i7 combo and everything runs on max settings, save for the really graphically intense stuff (metro, far cry 3, etc) which run perfectly well on High settings. Absolutely nothing against AMD, but in the year and a half of visiting this forum, i have lost count on the number of threads talking about problems with the 6900 and 7900 series. Again, it is just anecdotal, but were it my money, i'd spend it on the nvidia chip in this case.

    mmmm I know a person that let us call him "Prema".

    he makes modified bios for mainboard and GPU, kind bios for overclocking 3630QM etc or bios for plugging a GTX 780M on Clevo P1XX-EM

    I could use a bios of his...

    You can ask him about getting the 780M working in the EM, I remember him talking about it but I don't know how complete his work was.

    Yep but that 680M is only 2GB...

    perhaps a GTX 675MX is the right compromise

    The Clevo version of the 680M should be 4GB, I only remember Dell/Alienware using a 2GB version.

    As the auction says "Original Dell version" which is why its the 2GB version, if you find an original Clevo one it will be 4GB but it also will cost a little more.
    The GTX 675MX would be a good one as you mentioned. It was probably the best bang for your buck when it was current.

    Also for the 680M 2GB is plenty, but you will need to stick with the clevo one.
