    Hello,

So the options I'm considering is the
    1. UPS Express (no brokerage fee) - $125
    2. USPS priority mail - 79$

Anyone from Canada here ordered from xoticpc have any positive/negative experiences with either?

Information regarding UPS is quite clear. Everyone seems to agree that the delivery time is faster and tracking it is easy. Aside from the taxes, what other bills did they charge you at the door?

As for USPS, I couldn't find enough information about them.
    1. What do they charge with at the door?
    2. Do they drop it off at the door or do you need to pick it up from canadapost?
    3. I've read on some other forums that there's a 50% chance you don't pay tax since the package somehow 'slips' in?!? lol wt

Aside from that any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated!

That will very, very likely not happen. They'd lose too much if they did that (a company frauding is much more serious than you or me passing the frontier without declaring goods) and if there is one thing I learnt about Canada since I've come here, it's that they love tax, and will make sure you pay a lot, and all of them. There shouldn't be any duty because NAFTA allows free - we're only talking about the duty itself ! - trade as long as it comes from north america. Then depending on which state you live in, you have to add either GST+PST or HST. But trust me, a company will never fraud for you. People who made the packages "slip" in are guys who most probably had it delivered to an US mailbox at the frontier, and went there themselves to fetch it. Also I've read the most terrible reviews about USPS from the US, stories about lost packages, terrible tracking, and surprise fees. But you probably know Canada better than me, so...
Also, don't hesitate : a delivery service that includes the brokerage will very often be cheaper in the long run than "normal" delivery + brokerage fees.

UPS Express is defiantly the way to go. You will pay less in the longer run compared to ground since they dont collect brokerage fees when using it. They also are a direct delivery instead of USPS which hands it off to your local post office. And expect to pay tax, i haven't heard of anyone not having to pay.
