did a quick search and I couldn't find anything relatively new, has anyone had any success keeping their laptop cool using one of those cooling pads or something similar?

My P750tm-g spools up almost immediately on just browsing the web and watching videos. It's overclocked and undervolted, and doesn't throttle or anything. Just curious if there are any additional solutions people employ to keep their machines "quieter".

    thanks in advance

Clevos draw air from below as well as other locations, so keeping the bottom elevated will improve airflow. I sit mine atop a laptop cooler, which doesn't need to be on. You can also blow out your fans in case of dust accumulation.

My PA70HS-G was fine when I first got it, but temps got bad after 3 months. I repasted with ICD7 and now temps are very comfortable.

I average 77-81C while gaming, tho a couple of titles push it to 85C. I can shave a few degrees if I enable the cooler.

LOL. My system isn't quiet at all. Fans are on at all times because the Prema auto fan curve prioritizes thermals over noise. ;)

Edit: Idles at low 30C and never drops below 4.7GHz. The fan turns on as soon as it crosses 30C?

Idle temps don't matter since depending on fan profiles it's different on each notebook.
When you read the thread, then youll see there is a fan control software there, it makes your notebook quieter.

compared to the furnacebooks with turbinemotors here on the forum, my notebook runs at 50-60c on GPU and CPU while having low fan speed in gaming, due to heavyly modded cooling system. Tho I only have a 4940MX and a GTX 1060, which is very easy to cool.

You could just about get the P570WM running fairly quiet but I think it's light task consumption was something like 30-35W.
