    well, unless Clevo decides to bring Ryzen into their DTR machines, a refresh will not happen until 10 core Comet Lake and/or GPU refresh.

    Its shame Clevo still not released any AMD Ryzen product. 65W Ryzen 3700x is superb all rounder.it beat 9700K in almost all applications except games. But consume less power.

    Don't think it will. In multi thread games i7/i9 K series will throttle or will have to lower the all core multiplier to keep the system cool. 3700x most likely will be able to keep it's all core boost while consuming less power.

    Only single threaded games will cause problem.

    That's a compromise I can live with.

    Most games still at the end of the day rely on that single thread performance if the multi core stuff gets sorted.

    But AMD had no support infrastructure for machines like this in place, no assistance for firmware development etc. That kind of background work is crucial.

    Are you saying that Clevo *will* offer AMD Ryzen / Radeon laptops at some point soon? How soon?

    Like Clevo is working on releasing the new AMD Ryzen CPU's and new Radeon GPU's in Clevo laptops now "soon"? :)

    I think Clevo didn't bother to make any AMD system.

    Because there's two AMD desktop CPU based gaming systems. Acer Predator Helios 500 and Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC

    Both of those laptops, the Helios 500 and GL702ZC are from the 1st and 2nd release of Ryzen and are both due for refreshes with Ryzen 3, hopefully soon.

    All of those switchers from Intel to AMD on desktops are candidates for AMD in their laptops too.

    I would expect Clevo to want to get in on the PGA action as soon as the demand is there, and AMD has been pushing out new products that are creating demand for quite a while.

    Do you think it's time Clevo made AMD CPU / AMD GPU laptops?

    heck yes! the 3900x already consumes less power than the 9900k in high load scenarios, so a 3950x is totally doable in a DTR with some tweaking. i would be all over that! :)

    As you said, there is no news on such products. And, I would assume there will be news on new products - should they exist - only when it's time to announce them.
