    Who say`s I`m not ? :)
    I won`t sell it for less than 1300$ though, who gets it can upgrade to the 8800M GTX and sell the 7950GTX and have a 8800M GTX system for about 1700$, with a 2 year warranty and special Eleron care :)
    I`m a clean freak, I clean it every 2 days, clean the dust monthly,defrag the hard weekly,etc etc.
    This baby has done more than I could`ve asked from it,and deserves that attention.
    If I`ll be able to upgrade to the 9800M GTX, I won`t sell it.
    But timing will be critical, I`m only in the US till October.

    lol prove them wrong again.. imo could they not come up with a better excuse than sleep issues.. maybe if they said your system would go up in flames people would not have tried to prove them wrong.. or maybe if they were like me they would have anyway

    @Zfactor:

    Have you looked through the errata sheets from Intel on the P965 chipset to see if you could correlate one or more of the errata with the claimed defect that ostensibly required the upgrade for the 579x to support the 8800M?

    Given that most of what's in those sheets is, for all intents and purposes, ancient greek to me, I've spotted a few that might be relevant; for example, on the spec update, Intel Doc No. 313054-003, erratum 4 lists a "Data Recovery Clock (DRC) Lock-up" problem with the P965, under which,
    including, inter alia, system hang or a blank screen.

    Granted, the spec update is dated as of September, 2006, so Clevo would have had some heads-up, although it may be that, for the 7950 and 8700 they were able to get a work-around on the GPU card since NVidia didn't exercise as much control over those cards, but that they were unable to get the same work-around for the 8800M since NVidia produced most of that card in-house. Nonetheless, is it possible that this Intel erratum could lie at the bottom of the claimed defect that caused Clevo/Sager to state that a motherboard upgrade was required? Of course, even if that were the case, it would not have required a new chipset since, as the spec update states, Intel did not plan any fix for that erratum, just a BIOS work-around.

    There were also changes in the documentation of the Serial Digital Video interrupts - which to my untrained eyes appear to have added a second SDVO interface with accompanying interrupt - listed on page 15 of Intel Doc No. 316274-008, which change was added to the spec update as of September 2007, which might have required a reconfiguration of the P965 motherboard. However, the spec update itself doesn't contain any references to the purpose of the documentation update, or any symptomatic system behaviour that might be observed in non-compliant systems.

    hmm ill have a look later.. but the whole point is they are still using the same chipset as before.. no update there was needed or imo done
