    anyone have the lates bios for the sager np8170? I just installed my new nvidia 680m and get a black screen when booting into windows with the drivers installed. Also, In the bios under VGA card it just says EMPTY.

    So, I'm guessing I need the updated bios.

    Please reply as soon as you can.... I don't want to have to wait till tomorrow for sager to email me the updated bios!

    Pretty sure my bios is telling me my mxm slot is empty as well, but the card works fine.

    I have a feeling that your problem isn't bios related, might be worth trying to install windows again and use another driver.

    Ok, I have tried this a bunch of different ways now.

    tried installing nvidia drivers directly after uninstalling the old ones - didn't work
    tried installing nvidia drivers after uninstalling the old ones and using a driver sweeper - didn't work
    tried installing nvidia drivers after installing a fresh copy of windows 7 on my secondary drive - didn't work

    It boots to windows and everything just fine until I install the drivers... then after booting the screen is just BLANK.

    did u make sure to use the nvidia drivers with the modded inf? stock drivers wont work :)
