    the idea is this:

we all know the sager 8690,8760, whatever, they all have weird integrated panel batteries that won't last squat.

I say, what about an bigger battery that takes the form of a docking station and plugs in the same way as the little battery?

Now, it WILL make the laptop 1 inch thicker, but that's the catch, but i would like the idea of a dock battery.

Anyone at Sager get the memo?

I've seen something like this before, except it was a mat shaped flexible battery that stuck to the bottom of your system, and it plugged into your power interface, rather than the battery interface.

you can certainly get external bateries that plug into the power port, designing an external battery for the battery port would require a unique battery for each laptop model and is never going to happen.

The HP 8710w has a 12 cell battery which fits your description exactly. Of course, its HP.
