I heard 675m was on par with it, but that doesnt sound believable.

I have an unlocked 6950 and the last time i tested it on 3dmark 11 i scored around 5400. that was with an i5 750.

stocked clocks on my laptop i get 5850. with 980/1400 clocks i have got 6450 3dmarks. so it is definitely faster.

The 675M is only about 70-75% peformance of the desktop 6950 but as Exposed88 mentioned both the 7970M and 680M beat it.

The 7970m is faster than the 6970 let alone the 6950... also by overclocking the card, you can probably reach similar performance to the 580.
