    hey guys!
i have a sager NP9150 with the razer kraken pro (3.5mm Jack) and i have this annoying problem:

the laptop has four 3.5mm sockets: one for headphones, one for microphones, one with a red lazer inside and this symbol http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/254/23913730.png (S/PDIF if i'm not mistaken) and another one with an arrow pointing inside a few circles (line-in if i'm not mistaken).
whenever i connect the razer headset (and any other 3.5mm headphones) into the normal heaphone jack i get lower audio quality. whenever i connect them to the S/PDIF connector i get the normal quality i get when i plug them to my phone or any other PC but with an annoying hissing sound that never stops and is not present in the normal headphones jack. the fourth jack does nothing and i don't know what it's supposed to do. the mic jack works perfectly.
when i connect my USB headset everything works perfectly.
another wierd thing is that when i plug them to the S/PDIF hole in the sound control panel it's checked as if it is connected via "Speakers-high definition audio divice"

i want to know if there's any solution for the low quality i get from one jack or the hissing sound i get from the S/PDIF jack, like a driver update of some sort
    thanks

Right click on the audio icon in the bottom right of the screen. Select playback devices, select the device you want to change, and click configure. If I remember right it should be in there but I don't have any devices to test it with right now.

What about in the Realtek software, under Speaker Configuration?

You can get it from Sager or Clevo. The audio driver is by Realtek, so as long as you have the driver installed you should have the Realtek HD manager as well.

    so... i found a sulotion:
turns out puling the jack just a tiny bit out makes the hissing go away completely and still maintains the same audio quality.
looks like it was easier than i tought. thanks for the help everybody! :)
