has anyone seen this (im sure you all have): http://www.anandtech.com/mobile/showdoc.aspx?i=3262

how is the margin so low between the t7500 in the widow and the x9000 in the ava machines??

is the difference in 3dmark really that minimal?? or do you think this test was flawed? im suprised seeing the t7500 with the 8800 outpacing the x9000 in some of these tests?? doesnt make sense..

reason im asking is a have a t7500 now and wanted to go to the x9000 or even the t9500 and if there is really this small of a difference then why bother??

or does the vista 32bit vs 64bit have more play in this test than the cpu??

    thanks

That review simply shows that GPU power means everything in today's games, and that the CPU doesn't much matter at higher resolutions, where the systems are GPU-bound.

but both systems are using the same 8800gtx card?? onl2 differences between the ava and widow are the 64bit vs 32bit os and the t7500 vs x9000... and the system with the x9000 generally performed lower than the other one excpet only a small bit better in cpu benchmarks???

In all non-game tests the AVA came out on top as expected. In all but a couple of strange game test comparisons(which the author remarked on), the two machines were about the same (also as expected).

I flat don't believe the Window scores in these "strange game tests". I don't believe, for example, that a stock Window could get 47fps in the Crysis benchmark at 1920x1200 medium settings when a stock non-SLI 9262 can only get about 35fps.

THat is weird, The 3dm scores I ahve seen with both CPUS in the owners lounge do not support their cunclusions
