You should ask a mod to move this to the "Accessories" Forum. You'll be more attention and better answers.
I use an Asus VW246H.

I have the little brother, ASUS VE258Q, and it's awesome; however, I'm not a Pantone snob so I cant comment on the color representation if you're into any graphic design/photo editing (my 95% gamut screen is prettier, imo).
If you haven't used a 27" before, do yourself a favor and measure your seat to screen viewing distance and goto a computer store and see a 27" in person. Personally, I felt the .31 dot pitch on the 27" was too large at my viewing distance of 18" so I went with a 25".
I always have to experience products that rely on preference and ergonomics because I'm very particular (like the Cyborg R.A.T. mouse, I love the features, but I couldnt get used to it after a few weeks). -

I've got a screen very similar to Mr. Mysterious's and I have to say that I like it quite a bit. 24" is not too large and not too small.

As mentioned above, best to check how far you'll be sitting from the screen. I decided to go with a LED LG 24". I have quite a deep desk, so the screen sits quite far away. In retrospect I would have gone with a 27", so have a look at your seating distance before taking the plunge!

now i am thinking whether to go with 24,25 or 27! you guys!!!!
also fyi LED monitor looks much better with a contrast ratio 10 times better, $50 premium

I have had a 24" Samsung LED Monitor for a year now with a viewing distance of 30". As usual, with time it now appears that what was once massive now seems small and I am looking for a 27". Human nature dictates that one can never be satisfied with the status quo....

you had to do that dint you Phoenix51? I found some good viewsonic 24inch leds for $199 , 27inches are around $299 for starters! would you spend $100 more for 3 inches? I saw good difference bet a 15.4 and 18.4! that was huge, I have to go to bestbuy to get a good look now! 27 sounds better to me now!
best 27inch 1080p monitor around $300 budget
