What is the best version of nvidia drivers to use with a 280M with win 7 64 bit.

I searched this forum and all i could find were that the latest drivers and latest beta drivers are choppy, don't want to install choppy stuff :)

For real world gaming performance, IMO it's Dox optimized 182.05 at laptopvideo2go.com. Install it with "Quality" setting, you wont be disappointed.

My personal preference would be 186.81/82 with the latest EVGA SLI patch. Reason I chose these over Dox is that they support the SLI patch properly (seemingly), however do the same with Dox's latest and I got odd flickering corruption in Borderlands which suggests something wasnt happy!

hi lavaroach and welcome to nbr.

186.81 all the way. best driver ive used so far.

a lot of people do use the dox drivers above but if your new to updating graphics cards or the technical side of things then check with your oem as if problems or damage are caused then if your not using an official driver from nvidia your warranty could be affected

Best Nvidia driver....the latest official one.

Don't use Dox drivers if you are doing serious work. Instances like your system not waking up from sleep and staying at full brightness of battery mode have been noted.

If you are gaming and couldn't care less about anything else...you should be on a desktop :D
