It's like the iPhone. The technology is always getting cheaper.

I'm with Gophn, though. If your notebook hasn't shipped yet, ask for a price adjustment.

that are still retailers, so they should, but it comes down to their sales policy... as well as reputation.

Is this an indication of a new model? I remember the 5760 had some nice price cuts when the 5790 was announced.

And no CPUs out to justify an upgrade. I just hope they'll put a 8800M in it soon.

    I noticed that as well.

But after configuring it the exact same as I ordered it, it's only a few dollars cheaper.

All models are down a bit. I have been waiting for a 2090 and the wsxga+ since 9/25 and the price has dropped $60.00 for my configuration. With my luck they will probably offer the 8700 or a 2.6 cpu the day I take delivery.

Probably so, but I still find it cheaper than what it used to be a month ago. The same specs + 3 year Sager warranty got me the same price.

I wouldn't count on the 2090 ever offering anything but the 8600. Compal doesn't tend to make systems that support changing video cards like Clevo does. The best you tend get is an upgrade to GDDR3 memory or something similar, rather than an actual video card change.
