black screen after exiting games

Well I just finished installing all my games. Seems like dynasty warriors 6, crysis, WOW, Age of empires, Empire earth 3, Sims3 all run fluidly and pristine. Recently when i opened Civ 4, or closed sims3 i get a black screen with only the mouse courser can be seen. I can get around this by waiting 5 min and pressing windows and l to get a lock and comeback. Any other ppl with this or solutions..i DID look it up and ppl have this problem since 2005 no real solutions though. Other than that the build is absolutely amazing and after changing my bios to ahci vista temps are down.

 

while ppl look can i also ask what is the max temp for the hdd to handle consistently 65oC?

and what SD card can i use with he sager8662 it says sd but can i use a sdhc micro in a sdhc adapter? 16 gb?

 

ctrl /alt / delete will take you to the task manager and you can close it there in applications.

60-62c when defraging or virus scan and then 50-54c idle or gaming.
65c continuous is not good at all.

 

i changed my bios settings i get the 50-54 while gaming and 60-62 defrag compared to 64-69 before

i cant ctrl alt del during the black screen

 

are you running vista?

 

It sounds like a game compatibility issue to me. Try running the games in compatibility mode or are you sure they are designed for your OS?

 

not sure what works in win 7 64bit but they re all summer 09 games. cept civ 4

They all run very well its jsut exiting certain games but it doesnt seem to happen anymore so im not sure what it was maybe win 7 aero themes? idk. Going to play fallout 3 now..i like how i still get controller 360 vibration feedback

 

anyone else with a 260m gtx having problems? I cant find a solution atm i emailed xoticpc

 

nvm i fixed it by downloading the direct x end user runtime package. now all the games work fluidly.
