    The connector between the screen and the "body" of my Sager 5793 has broken. Anyone else had similar problems? Is there something I can do about that?

    I don't even know how to call this piece

    That'll be the left hand screen hinge assembly. You can get the part number from the service manual (in my sig) and call up your reseller and they should be able to get it for you.
