    Hello everyone,

I have a m570u (not m570RU) with a broken screen since a few hours ago. The screen itself isn't broken and works still well, but it doesnt fit solid anymore. The screen is connected with the laptop at two points, the left and the right side. When i open my laptop screen (for example to turn the laptop on and start using it) the left side is pushing up.

Here is an example of it: http://www.fanfareezg.nl/laptoplos.JPG

And this is an example of the right side which is normal: http://www.fanfareezg.nl/laptopvast.JPG

On the backside of the notebook there are some screws but i dont think they are for fitting the screen solid onto my laptop. (sorry for my bad english, if you dont understand my story very well please tell me what you dont understand).

Looking at the pictures, it definitely seems like a screw or a fitting that held the left side down has come loose or broken off. We don't seem to have the service manual for your model, only the user manual which isn't much help for this. Looking at pictures of the 570u from the back, it looks like there are two screws below the hinge that may be responsible for holding that side of the LCD down. On that piece that is coming up on the left do you see any screw holes? If you turn either of the two small screws on the back of the laptop right below the hinge that is coming up, do either of them feel loose or like they are getting no resistance?

I'm not sure you'll be able to fix this yourself. You may want to contact your reseller and consider your options for repair. At the very least they may be able to contact Clevo to find out how you could remedy it yourself. Because it is physical wear and tear, this may not be covered by your warranty, but you may need to have it service by the factory, particularly if a part of the bezel has broken off . In the meantime, I'd avoid stressing that area by opening and closing the notebook a lot because it could make the problem worse.
