whenever my computer utilizes its nvidia 680m graphics card there is a strange electronic like buzzing sound that come from the speakers. It is affected by adjusting the volume. It comes from the built in speaker as well as any speaker i plug into it. i sent my computer into sager a while after i got it to upgrade to the 680m so i think it is pretty safe to say that it is the card. I am hoping someone here might have an idea of what might be going on. Could it be a bad graphics card? was the graphics card not installed properly? can i fix this without sager because my warranty is up :(

So, if you mute your volume does it go away?

The power circuitry inside is having to handle a lot of power draw so yes you can have the onboard audio affecting picking up stray interference. A USB headset or soundcard would get by that issue.

Does not sound like a defective card, just an interference issue as Meaker mentioned since the card draws more power.
