Hey, I recently purchased a Sager NP2096 after reading through that thread on this forum. So far, it's been great - the laptop itself is faster than my desktop. However, there is one thing that irks me - the monitor is too dark. I'd prefer Nvidia's default settings, but every so often the system would revert to the WOW video settings (those little buttons above the keyboard). Is there a way to fix this, or is the WOW video thing configured to show "true" color?

Also, somewhat related - a few days ago I was foolish enough to use isopropyl alcohol to clean my screen, which left some stains on the screen. I then removed those stains with a 50/50 alcohol/distilled water mix, because nothing else worked. Did I remove my monitor's protective covering?

I know what you mean regarding the dark screen when using the WOW settings. This bothered me as well so I actually disabled the WOW utility through the start up tab in the msconfig screen. Keep in mind, if you do this it means that you won't be able to use those touch sensitive buttons at the top of the keyboard. I found it to be a fair trade-off since I don't care for those buttons and the screen quality is more important to me.

Regarding the monitor protective covering issue, I actually don't know but I doubt you did anything to damage it.

i originally installed wow, but i didnt like any of the presets they had (too dark or colors just seemed off) so instead of messing with it i just uninstalled it. looks amazing without it, im sure its useful if you can get it setup correctly.
