    Yah, but I don't think it asks the right question - what's a "5293"? (Other than a composite number equal to 67 * 79).

800MHz ram will work in the 5 793, however it will be downclocked to 667MHz.

If you are intending to overclock (via fsb) then 800MHz ram will probably be better for this as it is intended to run at up to 800MHz whereas if you have 667MHz ram then overclocking will put it over spec.

actually 800mhz might work slightly faster, maybe 2%

if you use SetFSB to OC you can overclock your RAM by way of FSB OC. Running my FSB at 900mhz (instead of 800) I got my RAM@750mhz and my [email protected]. I don't even have 800mhz RAM though... maybe my OC would run a bit better with them in... I may find out if I decide to get some 800mhz RAM.

    Put it this way :
Get the 800Mhz anyway, and if:
    a) you don't OC, it will downclock,
b)if you OC via FSB it will run at 800Mhz
but a+b) you will have fast ram for future upgrades.

Oh, and usually 800MHz ram run at 667MHz will have tighter timings (Latencies) and so as nirvana said will be minutely faster
