I was looking at this, it offers a 9800m gtx (ETA aug.13). Does that mean that if I buy a 8800m gtx with sager/xotic now I will be able to upgrade it to 9800 when it comes out because it says user-upgradable?

the reason I don't just buy it from m-tech is because it's overpriced compared to what sager/xotic offers

    thanks.

Nobody knows (or at least, nobody who can publicly disclose such information :D ), and nobody will know until the 9800 is released. I'd set a reminder to watch for the actual release, and then forget about it until the reminder is triggered.

Please note that they are listing the M570 TU, which is the successor to the NP5793 (which is the M570 RU). With the possible exception of nVIDIA, no one knows (or can know) if the NP5793 will be able to support the 9800M GTX, and the site above is not indicating that it can in any way, shape, or fashion.

I believe it will. And if it does, I will be first in line to grab it. Maybe a D901C user will buy my 8800M GTX card for cheap?

Ah dang. Oh well. I imaging the old 8800M GTX would be hard to resell, unless Sager offered some sort of a trade in...

You might find a buyer from someone who originally bought a 579x series system with an 8700.
