@1080p and with high texture pack enabled, does is it powerfull enough to run the game smooth without micro stuttering?

someone please post the frame rates and general location in-game where you were achieving this. if you can also do a youtube video of the game being played that would be epic! :)

It will! Play with GTX 485m SLI and have no problems with low FPS.
There was another thread like this and some more answers a few weeks ago... but can´t find it right now...

it runs good with 580m sli and no micro stuttering, but under super soldier mode fps not enough for me to hit and run so can only keep cloaking all the time :D

i want to add that it is not just for crysis 2. i don't care about that game, really. it is just the most important benchmark right now because if it cannot max out crysis 2 then these laptops will not be able to max out BF 3 with 64 player servers and if true i may need to cancel my laptop order.

edit; it is OK if, for example, the 580m sli config needs to be overclocked to handle the game. as long as the current crop of top of the line laptops can handle it. 485 / 580 / 6990

my single 580m stock handles crysis 2 ultra,dx11, and high res. sli is just overkill it will handle it it.

Buy it, benchmark it, then you let US know!!!

In any case..Crysis 2? WEAK! If it can max Crysis Warhead (the more graphically intensive game by FAR), THEN you can feel safe. Crysis 2 is just a shabby console port anyway.....dx9, 10 OR 11 version....

Witcher 2 is the one I would ask for benchmarks. Even though its just DX9, it will chew and spit out your graphics card(desktop or mobile) unless you disable some stuff in the configuration. Ubersampling is no joke when it comes to the horsepower that you need to run it.

i did buy it. i would hate to find out that it cannot max the game at smooth frames and then be looking at restocking fees to return it. i strayed away from clevo for the first time since 2005 and went with alienware and the 6990m xfire config and asking in that forum as well. i just thought i would also ask the clevo forums.

i know its a console game, and that is why i am only asking for the DX11 runs ;)

bf3 is only slightly more intensive than bc2, or at least the alpha was, and that was just the alpha. when i do the beta i will do some benches.

in the bf3 alpha on high 1080p i got about 45fps, and i think that there was anti aliasing, but it didn't say.

thanks for your input. the problem with the BF 3 alpha is that it was not graphics settings were locked (i believe, not 100% sure, but they did not look jaw-dropping from the screenshots) to about medium, destruction was not fully enabled, and only 32 players. when the real game comes out with 64 players especially, i am expecting that whatever frame rate you got now will be cut in half in heavy firefights.

Tho OP is asking about GTX 580M in SLI, not YOUR GTX 485M.
