car adaptor for sager 5760

is it possible i can purchase a car adapter for my machine at a store like bestbuy and not online? if so, what do you recommend?

 

That is a good question. I have used a 300 watt power inverter that plugs into a car cigarette lighter for several years for my old sager 5680. Then you plug your normal power brick into the outlet on that.

I don't use it "constantly" though--only in the short term or for charging.

The power brick for the 5670 draws 130 watts, so something like that should be sufficient (by something like that I mean a 300 watt--not a 130 watt-- a 300 watt inverter means max 300 watts in short bursts)

You should use some caution. It is generally not recommended to use a power inverter over 300 watts in a cigarette light socket. Larger than that and you need to wire directly to the batter.

 

i need something for a long roadtrip, and i plan to watch several movies. what adapter specificly do you reccoment?
