Hi, I'm having a problem with my dvd/cdrom being detected by windows. It doesn't show up on my computer and under device manager it says the driver isn't working correctly. This randomly happend one day while it wasn't being mobile, I thought about a windows update but I can't remember when this happend. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. I also have tried installing a new driver but it says the most recent one is working. I downloading the firmware for it but don't know how to use it, do I have to execute it under safe-mode?

Also could this be a hardware issue if something is loose? Could someone direct me to a forum page here where they take apart the dvd/cd rom to try to tinker around with it or fix it?

    thanks
