Not that I'm aware of. Usually timings are changed in the BIOS or a software app if supported by a particular chipset, such as the nForce chipset. No goodness given to us in this realm.

i think there is some funkyness going on in the who realm of the m860tu's memory... the ddr3 is only getting a 5.0 in the useless WEI, which while is usually inaccurate anyway might suggest something isn't quite right.. The killer notebooks guy suggested it might not be supporting voltage switching which wouldn't allow it to take full advantage of the ddr3 speed...and maybe your find further suggests that the ddr3 isn't running full-tilt...i've been suspicious since day 1.

that is exactely the point! im running vista ultimate 64 and ti really only gets the 5.0 class.. and it is stupid! i mean.. isnt this suppose to be like DDR3 ? something isnt running as it is supoosed.. running the slot of memory at 533 speed so that the sum is the 1066Mhz announced.. weird or am i confused' and still when i use everest it says it can work at 667Mhz

Currently dealing with the same problem. Installed a 4GB kit of 1333 memory and checked through CPU-Z ans SIS Sandra...both showing my memory runs as DDR2 @532.0Mhz (1066), although it does mention the capability of memory as DDR3@1333

Possible cause? Old BIOS or new chipsets are not yet supported by CPU-Z (1.48) and Sandra, thus showing wrong readings.

Eurocom does advertize this model as supporting 1333 ddr3 memory however.

You can give SPDTool and Memset a go.

I haven't checked this stuff since a long time but I remember I ran SiSoft Sandra and the memory was scoring like a ddr3 should score even if it was reported at strange speeds
