Its been 3 month now since i got my 9262 and traveling around with it i guess its got dust and sand particles showing on the fan. I am not sure but the system now seems louder , so i think if i clean all the fans it might make a difference.

I bought an air spray dust cleaner, and some cleaning wipes.
Now and not to make any mistakes, what is the best way going about this??? opening under the fans removing them and cleaning, or just spraying the compressed air everywhere?
I am a bit worried don't want any static to get me, and thought i'd ask people who know better.

    Thanks

I kinda went over on how to generally do it thoroughly at the end of the Clevo Guide. :)

But I usually get a lot of Q-tips (cotton swabs) and my air compressor.
    - first do the initially blow out of dust on the vents and fans
    - then use Q-tips detail the cleaning of the fan blades and areas that seem dirty
    - then another dust flush with the compressed air.
.... repeat if you feel its not clean enough.

    great guide.

I downloaded the riva tuner and notebook hardware control to monitor the temps before /after.... unfortunately notebook hardware control doesnt run on my system, maybe because 64-bit win vista. any other program to check cpu and harddrive temps?
BTW when i am running the riva tuner to monitor temps and frame rates i noticed that the fps in like deadspace never exceed 30 even if i put the system at lowest mode (1024x768, low graphics or highest 1920x1200, high which runs smooth by the way, same thing in crysis warhead...any reason for that??

    Thanks man

    for temp monitoring...

    For GPU:
    - RivaTuner is the best.

    For CPU:
    - RMclock
    - NHC

    For all in one solutions:
    - HWmonitor
    - Everest*
    - CoreTemp
*RivaTuner ..... with Everest plugins enabled to also monitor CPU and HDD temps while in-game

yeah i need to clean the fans as well but after upgrading the CPU and the HDD i have managed to make it too tight to get the screws off, would it be okay if i used a hoover to get the dust out? - asking though i think i know the answer :)
