Hi, all of a sudden my clevo 170sm-a won't power on. The indicator lights come on when I plug in the AC and blinks green twice when I press down the power but nothing else lights up when I press the power button. No sound that I can hear. Tried the 30 second power button without the battery and ac. tdfed removing and putting the memory back in. runCurrently don't have the battery with me so can't put it in and take it out to see what might happen. I recently replaced the CMOs battery but I have no idea how that can be related. Seemed to come on fine with it at least up until now.

Could be a failed GPU, the battery would be a good test if you could get it.

I know you said you don't really hear anything else power on, but have you tried to plug it into an external monitor to see if it will display on that?

It might be unfortunately. Maybe a longshot but does anyone have a p170sm-a compatible gpu they want to flog for some cash so I don't have to go through Chinese shipping?

The members market is really for that kind of thing, you could check your local ebay.
